Sequence:
Procedures:
Narrow Canals:Opener– 20/04
Medium Canals:Opener—20/04—25/04 or 25/06
Large Canals:Opener—20/04—25/06—30/04 — (35/04)
Speed:200-350 rpm Torque:1.00-3.50 N.cm
Remark:
Use manual SSK Files #10, #15, #20 to make sure the smooth glide path during whole process.
Keep lubricate and irrigate the root canal until apical during the whole treatment.
HOW TO USE:
Explore the root canal
Use #6/#8 / #10 K Files to explore the root canal, and find out the initial apical file (usually it is #10 or #15).Upon confirming that there’s a smooth path in the root canal, we can start to use the Rotary Files.
Purpose:Prevent rotary files from deviating from the root canal direction
Tips for K File
Always use a K file by rotate and twist 45 degree. Never use it by 360 degree rotate or pull up and down in big step.
The K file can be pre-bent before entering the root canal.
Orifice Opener
Use 1# Opener (25/09) to enlarge the first 1/3 of the canal.
Note:Use the pecking motion to proceed slowly, irrigate and lubricate frequently.
Purpose: with a better view, the following Rotary Files and Irrigation Needles can work easier. Besides, measuring the working length after the opening is more accurate.
Comparison before and after using the Orifice Opener
Use 20/04 by pecking motion until the working length.
Remark:
The file should go into the canal slowly, do not press the File.
After 4-5 times pecking motion, remove the file from the root canal.
Use SSK Files to check the glide path, and then irrigate and lubricate.
It can be seen from the X-ray that some root canals are extremely small. If the root canals are prepared to a large size during the root canal treatment, the root canals are prone to fracture and root fracture.
Also, it is also recognized academically that the main tip file is three sizes larger than the initial apical file. That is to say, if the SSK file #6 or #8 is used as the initial apical file, it is enough to prepare the #20 file.
After using 20/04, we can choose 25/04 or 25/06 as next file according to the size of the root canal.
Use 25/04 or 25/06 by pecking motion until the working length.
Remark:
The file should go into the canal slowly, do not press the File. After 4-5 times pecking motion, remove the file from the root canal. Use SSK Files to check the glide path, and then irrigate and lubricate.
After using 25#, if necessary, use 30/04 or even 35/04 to prepare the root canal. After the preparation is finished, use Paper Points to dry the root canal, and fill the root canal using Gutta Percha in correct size.
